Description[edit | edit source]

Authors extension displays all of the user who have contributed to the article. They are displayed at the bottom of the article, in the form of their user images/avatars.

Usage / Features[edit | edit source]

Every user can control what image will be displayed as his image in the list of authors, by changing his profile image. For more about user profile images read here.

BlueSpiceAuthors displays the profile images of the users who have contributed to a wiki page.They are listed on the Page information, which can be accessed from the quality management tools.

  • Image selection: The image shows the profile image that a user is currently using.

Configuration[edit | edit source]

The number of authors displayed, and if authors will be displayed at all, can be configured on BlueSpice preferences page (Special:BlueSpicePreferences). In case there are more contributors to the page than the limit allows to be shown, icon representing "more" will be shown.

Not displaying Authors can also be achieved for a single page by placing behaviour
  • Interaction: Hovering over the profile picture shows the user name. The image links to the user's profile page.

Users with admin rights can set in the Config manager if and how many authors should be shown on the page information. If there are more authors than configured, a pagination is being generated.

The display of authors can be supressed with the behavior switch __NOAUTHORS__ on

extension does not require any special rights. All users having "read" permission for the article can also see the authors of that article
