Some aspects of this extension can be configured on Special:BlueSpicePreferences, under section "Safer editing". Here wiki administrators can configure:
- Default recovery interval
- Whether to show name of current editor
- Whether to warn users when they leave page with unsaved changes

This extension does not require any special rights.
